| 1. JOB PURPOSE
a. Oracle HRMS system support would require supporting this application extensively being used by HR department.
b. Activities like system availability, application patching and troubleshooting & fixing day to day issues.
c. Develop required modules within the Oracle HRMS application and support the same.
2. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
a. To provide expertise as a Systems Analyst in analyzing, making recommendations and designing and developing the Oracle HRMS application.
b. To develop new modules within Oracle HRMS using prescribed specifications following the Standard Software Development Life Cycle.
c. To maintain and modify programs - make approved changes by amending existing flow and/or developing detailed programming logic.
d. To test the programs / modifications and verify / compare with the expected functionality.
e. To write program documentation and operational instructions, if necessary.
f. To evaluate simple interrelationships between programs, e.g. whether a contemplated change in one part of a program would cause unwanted results in a related part etc.
g. To discuss with supervisors to gain understanding of the needed changes or modifications of existing programs.
h. To update the superiors as per the reporting structure on the status of the task assigned and/or on issues
i. To provide on-call support and problem resolution for Oracle HRMS in Production, including post office hours and holidays.
j. To maintain updated knowledge with respect to relevant technology, equipment, and/or systems.
k. To perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
3. CONTEXT
a. Impart and share knowledge with team members.
b. Prepare maintenance and support documents and keep them updated.
4. KEY RELATIONSHIP (INTERNAL & EXTERNAL)
a. To regularly meet, discuss, coordinate and plan tasks across teams and to collect end user feedback to ensure that the offered services meet/exceeds the expectations.
b. Work towards exceeding customer satisfaction by providing prompt response and timely solution to all serving departments.
c. It is of utmost importance and essential to have interaction among different teams and departments to accomplish and facilitate successful and timely completion of assigned tasks.
5. EDUCATION
a. Graduate or Post Graduate in Computer Science.
6. TRAINING / SKILLS
a. Oracle 10g certified.
b. Oracle HRMS certification/training would be an additional advantage.
7. WORK EXPERIENCE
a. 3-5 years experience in Oracle HRMS support and implementation.
8. COMPETENCIES
a. Enterprising and self motivated.
b. Excellent communication skills
c. Ability to work independently as well as cohesively with a team, towards executing support activities.
d. Ability to quickly translate new technologies into efficient workable solutions thus saving cost.
e. Sound technical knowledge.
